#6 - Knocked Up (2007) Another Judd Apatow amazing film, I place Knocked Up higher on my list for a few reasons. The first is that Seth Rogen really is great as Ben Stone, he comes across as such a normal guy and just nails the part. I think the best part of the film comes from his friends, this time they are played by Jonah Hill, Jason Segel, Martin Starr, and Jay Baruchel they alone made this movie so good. But you also get a serious look at a marriage on the rocks between Debbie (Leslie Mann) and Pete (Paul Rudd), they are glimpse into a marriage that is probably a tad to realistic today. Ben of course knocks up Alison (the gorgeous Katherine Heigel) and instead of not telling Ben she lets him participate and the couple start to fall for one another until something goes wrong. Overall this is my favorite Apatow comedy because it plays out realistic in most aspects. Sometimes relationships are fucked up (be it between husband and wife or friends who make fun of one another for growing beards) but in the end true friends stay together and work it out. Plus this movie just makes me bust up anytime I see it.
