Chainsaw and Dave

Another supporting characters blog here, this time focusing on two guys who have made Summer School into a favorite movie of mine. The cast had some good actors going for it, pre NCIS Mark Harmon and a pre Cheers Kristie Alley were the stars but it was none other then Chainsaw and Dave who made the movie for me.

Chainsaw and Dave:

Dean Cameron who is sort a 1980's B star plays Francis 'Chainsaw' Gremp. Dave was played by Gary Riley. Why neither of the actors has made it big Cameron has had his fair share of movies, he was in the cult classic ski comedies Ski School 1 and 2 and has been in episodes of the following Tv shows: Mad About You, Party of Five, ER, Will and Grace, and Felicity.

Gary Riley aka Dave, also had his fair share of TV work, including: Amazing Stories, Airwolf, Growing Pains, Silver Spoons, Knots Landing and was in Stand By Me and played Guy #1 in Back to the Future, not a bad resume if you ask me.

But of course these two fine actors will always be Chainsaw and Dave, two guys who made school fun by pulling pranks and drinking while underage. I think Chainsaw and Dave could have always had their own spin off movie, or in the least be horror movie commentators on some all night horror channel.
